Eligibility Criteria for OAUSTECH Jobs 2025

University Librarian
- Must be certified by the Librarian’s Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
- Should have experience in Strategic Planning, Staff Management, Copyright and Intellectual Property, and Financial Responsibility.
- Must have at least 15 years of experience in university library services.
- Should have worked as a Deputy Librarian or higher for at least 3 years.
- Must have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a similar field from a recognized university.
- Should have at least 20 research publications in respected national and international journals.
- Must be under 65 years old at the time of employment.
- A Ph.D. degree is preferred but not required.
Professors
- Must have a Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
- Should have at least 10 years of teaching and research experience after earning a Ph.D.
- For Associate Professors (Reader), at least 9 years of experience is required.
- Must have a strong academic reputation with many publications in top academic journals.
- Registration with professional bodies is an advantage.
Lecturer I
- Must have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Must have at least 3 years of teaching and research experience.
- Should have spent at least 2 years as a Lecturer II.
- Should have published work in well-known academic journals.
- Membership in professional bodies is an advantage.
Reader (Associate Professor)
- Must have a Ph.D. in the relevant subject.
- Should have at least 9 years of teaching and research experience after earning a Ph.D.
- Should be a respected scholar with research papers in top academic journals.

Senior Lecturer
