AFIT has opened applications for its Remedial Program. This program helps students improve their qualifications and get another opportunity for admission in the 2024/2025 academic session.
The AFIT Remedial Program is for students who need to improve their academic records.
To apply, you must have at least five credits in key subjects like English and Mathematics.
The program runs for two semesters, and students who complete it successfully may qualify for degree programs at AFIT.

AFIT Remedial Admission Requirements and Qualifications
To apply for the AFIT Remedial Program, you must meet the following conditions:
- This program is mainly for candidates who did not meet the JAMB cut-off mark for AFIT. However, students who applied to other universities can also be considered.
- Applicants must have at least five O-level credits. If a candidate is missing a credit in English Language or Mathematics, they can still apply but must pass the missing subject before gaining admission into a degree program.
- Admission depends on the student’s performance and the number of available slots in each program.
- The program is non-residential, meaning students will not be provided with on-campus accommodation.
Course-Specific Requirements
Social and Management Sciences
- Applicants must have at least five credit passes in their SSCE/GCE exams (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
- The five credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings.
- The required subjects must include English Language and Mathematics.
- Two of the five subjects must be from Social Arts, while the remaining can be from Social Sciences.
Engineering and Sciences
- Applicants must have five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- These credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE exams (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
AFIT Remedial Program Duration
- The program runs for two semesters, which is equal to one academic session.

- Visit the AFIT Website – Go to www.afit.edu.ng and click on the 2024/2025 application link.
- Fill Out the Application Form – Complete the online form carefully.
- Pay the Application Fee – Make a non-refundable payment of N10,000 using an Interswitch-enabled ATM card (MasterCard or Verve card).
