Admission Requirements at University of Calabar

There are two ways to get admission into the University of Calabar. One way is through JAMB (UTME), and the other way is through Direct Entry. All students must follow the rules for the type of admission they are using. If you do not follow the rules, you will not be given admission.

For JAMB (UTME) Candidates

  • You must have at least 5 credit passes in your WAEC, NECO, or GCE result.
  • You can combine two results, but not more than two sittings.
  • You must choose the right subjects for your course in JAMB.
  • You must score at least 180 in your JAMB exam.
  • You must choose University of Calabar as your first choice in your JAMB form.
  • You must take part in the Post UTME or screening exam (if the school does it that year).
  • You must be at least 16 years old when you are getting admission.

For Direct Entry Candidates

  • You must also have at least 5 credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
  • You can combine two sittings only.
  • You must have passes in two A-level or IJMB subjects that match your course.
  • You can also use JUPEB or A-level results with good passes.
  • You can use a merit pass in NCE, ND, or other high-level results.
